Five years have passed since Singha R-SA has fixed the once-beautiful “Ha Lae Ja” suspension bridge and the bridge is now dilapidated and falling apart. The Singha R-Sa team and Singha R-Sa student networks from Mae Fah Luang University and Chiang Rai Rajabhat University arranged a collaboration project in Ban Kwae Wuadam, Mae Yao sub-district, Mueang district, Chiang Rai to repair and renovate the bridge for the people. The work commenced on 11 March.
The crew was separated into two groups. The first group was in charge of replacing the worn-out floor with new nail-secured wooden floor for the people’s safety. The other group removed existing paint from the posts and repainted them. The repairment was completed on 19 March.
“Ha Lae Ja” suspension bridge is Chiang Rai’s only suspension bridge, built in 1998. The bridge connects Jaduea and Kwae Wuadam villages and locals from both villages use the bridge for commuting, transporting agricultural products and traveling to Pakwang Wittaya School on the Kwae Wuadam village side. In 2015, the Singha R-Sa team and the student networks helped to repair the bridge once, so this is the second time and we were very glad to help out.
