Help Flood Victims in the South 2020
In December, the south of Thailand faced a rainstorm that resulted in the worst flooding in several southern provinces. In certain areas, the flood was as high as 3 meters. Many villagers were trapped inside their house without any food or water. When we heard of the news, Singha R-SA immediately coordinated with our team in the area to help all the victims as soon as we could.
In this mission, SINGHA- R- SA donated our rice and drinking water to the victims in Chandi Subdistrict, Chawang District, and Mueang District in Nakhon Si Thammarat; Ratsada District of Trang; as well as the nearby areas around the Singha factory in Surat Thani. We have also joined forces with the local rescue team ‘Tekka Nakhon’ from Nakhon Si Thammarat and our student volunteer network, which includes Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, Suratthani Rajabhat University, and the Prince of Songkla University – Suratthani Campus and Trang Campus. They didn’t only provide much-needed support, but also helped us coordinate and monitor the situation, emphasizing the mindset that “We’re part of the same family and we will pass this crisis together.”
