In November 2016, heavy rain fell in Northern Thailand and many villages were flooded. The floods caused damage to the electricity and the waterworks system of Suan Sukjai Priest’s Camp Site in Maeteang District. The monks and villagers were in bad trouble. When SINGHA R-SA heard the news we went immediately to Chiang Mai to survey the damage. On 10-11 December, SINGHA R-SA cooperated with SINGHA R-SA Volunteer Network from Chiang Mai University, Maejo University and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna to repair the waterworks and electrical systems (solar cell) and get the Priest’s Camp up and running once again. SINGHA R-SA volunteers were happy to help the villagers. The SINGHA R-SA team also gained new experiences and we will always cherish beautiful memories of our time at the Suan Sukjai Priest’s Camp.
