This winter, Singha R-SA went to give warmth to children from Banhuaynamyen School in Wawee Sub-district of Mae Sui District, Chiang Rai Province under the project “The Camp of Hugging #4” on 29th November.
For this mission, Singha R-SA cooperated with 300 volunteers from 15 universities including Bangkok University, Rangsit University, Kasetsart University, Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (Chiang Rai Campus), Chiang Mai University, Maejo University, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (Chiang Mai Campus), Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Naresuan University, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, Phayao University, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (Nan Campus), and Lampang Rajabhat University. We also joined with a network of international volunteers from 14 countries including USA, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Denmark, Bulgaria, Austria, Australia, Zambia, Japan, China, Nepal and Afghanistan.
Not content with bringing overcoats for the winter, we had mobile hospitals from Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. and Phraya Pirompakdi Foundation working together with Mae Fah Luang University to do primary physical checkups. We also had many delicious food items from food stores and numerous kinds of missions such as painting the building and teaching English to students.
Even though the weather was cold, we felt warm because of everyone’s welcome. We thanked all people for joining the project and making the best memory. We look forward to seeing you next time!
