The Northeastern village of Bankudjik in Sungnoen District of Nakhonratchasima Province was the destination on Saturday 24th March 2018 for around 150 young volunteers from leading universities including Chulalongkorn, Thammasat and Kasetsart. This Singha R-SA group was joined by a number of artists from Music Move including Earth-Patravee and the Prame Band. Together, this talented group set out for Nakhonratchasima to participate in a project of village development and restoration.
After registration, the first step was to visit Bankudjik School to paint the canteen and all the playground equipment around the school. When this was done, the next stops were the Bankudjik Child Development Center and Bankudjik public park, where more painting work was waiting for our team. Then we called in at Bansalakdai school and Jaturakamsamakkee school where the brain-based learning park received the day’s final coat of paint.
It was a hot day and hard work for everyone involved, but working together for a good cause created a positive atmosphere and everyone had a great time working wonders with their paintbrushes. What a difference some fresh, bright colors can make! By the end of the day the village looked fantastic and everyone could be very proud of their contributions. Singha R-SA thanked all the volunteers for their help and for the memories of a very special day. It was a pleasure for everyone to work together and we hope to hold similar activities once again in the future.
