Eighty SINGHA R-SA crew from the Faculty of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Rajamangala University of Technology, Suvarnabhumi, Suphanburi campus, traveled to Taperndee Village, Suphan Buri Province to build a hydroelectric turbine generator and a weir. The turbine and the weir will provided electricity for the Taperndee Community, which has 54 households that will benefit from the deed. Before our arrival, the villagers used solar cells to generate household electricity. However, sometimes these solar cells did not provide enough electricity, and the people had to come down from the mountain to charge the battery. Singha Rajamangala R-SA Students used their expertise to design a power generator by making the floodway run down from the weir and through the turbine. This produced a dynamo that generated electricity.
