Since February, the COVID-19 outbreak has tremendously increased workload for medical personnel. Some of them stay at the hospital with almost no rest or meal breaks. To support and deliver encouragement to all doctors, nurses and hospital officers, Singha R-Sa served frozen meals and Singha drinking water directly at the hospitals.
On 23 and 25 March, Singha R-Sa, with support from Boonrawd Brewery Company Limited and Phraya Bhirombhakdi Foundation, delivered ‘made by Todd’ frozen meals from Food Factors, together with freezers and Singha drinking water to doctors, nurses and hospital officers at Rajavithi Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital, Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute, Siriraj Hospital, Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute, Ramathibodi Hospital, and Thammasat University Hospital, and donated Singha drinking water to the Police Hospital. The frozen meal and Singha drinking water supply will be regularly maintained. Additionally, toiletry kits were also donated to medical staff at Rajavithi Hospital in case they need to change shifts at the hospital. All these are to express our encouragement to all personnel taking care of COVID-19 patients.
Apart from food supplies and drinking water, Boonrawd Brewery Company Limited donated 50 million baht to support medical personnel and patients on getting through this difficult situation. 5 million baht were given to each of the six main hospitals taking care of Covid-19 patients, including Rajavithi Hospital, Siriraj Hospital, Chulalongkorn Hospital, Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute, Ramathibodi Hospital, Thammasat University Hospital, and Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute, as well as hospitals in other major provinces, including Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital, Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital, Khon Kaen Hospital, Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, Udon Thani Hospital, Surat Thani Hospital, Songklanagarind Hospital in Hatyai, Songkhla, totaling 50 million baht.
The donation was meant for each hospital to purchase protective equipment, such as face masks, face shields, PPE coveralls, screening equipment for hospital reception counters and Covid-19 wards, and respirators.
